How we met

After a long week in Miami for my Aussie groups yearly international reunion, i found myself in my friend Steph's home town of Orange County, she would always drag me EVERYWHERE! which of course i would never mind and so at this particular moment it was her friends house.

I walk in and there he is, over confident, but also reserved, the typical "tall dark and handsome" look. Wanting to avoid the inevitable awkward introduction but being the "I'm too good to talk to you" attitude has never been my thing. 

So here we are, the introduction.. Why we decided to introduce ourselves twice so we could remember each others name was just strange. I was so overwhelmed and nervous i just wanted the extremely dragged on introduction to end, butterflies had never made home in my stomach like that before.

And in a moment i was gone, 

I thought to myself "What a relief! anything that makes me that nervous is way too dangerous this early in my life!" and of course i spoke way too soon! no more then 45 minutes later i get a tap on the shoulder... there he was, standing right behind me in a town 40 minutes away. 

We were glued talking for hours, realizing we had the same life goals and beliefs and drunk telling my friends to go away because i was with the "man i was going to marry, the father of my kids" (what a psycho! or psychic? lol) and shocking my friends because living and traveling around Asia for the next few years was so definite.

Fast forward 2 weeks and being completely inseparable from the moment we met, he cancelled my flights out and only moments after we tried getting married. Which FYI was illegal. So waited it out we did.

Stolen from reality

We live in a world where we feel more connected when were online then when were surrounded by millions of people. We find inspiration from the things we see on our phones and laptops, rather then being inspired by what we see in person. It has became so normal to us and that doesn't disregard myself, i almost feel foolish and embarrassed that we live this way. The internet has opened us up to the world and i fully understand the greatness of that, but it has also stolen us from reality.
